sewing

this week i have been busy sewing...
here are some skirts i did for my girls from this super easy pattern from Oliver + S called the lazy days skirt. i've made these before and my girls just love them! and bonus, i found this super cute amy butler fabric in the 40% section at my local fabric/quilt shop, The Quilting Cottage. their outfits don't go together whatsoever, but my girls are way to opinionated about what they wear these days. and it's ok with me, it's fun to see their confidence and creativity in the things they choose to wear. some days just crack me up.

also we have been in the process of moving my girls together, to free up the crib and nursery. so i made my girls some bunting to celebrate their 'big girl' ness! there aren't any before pictures..sorry I forgot, but here are the afters.

i was going for the whimsical woodland theme. i might have to throw in some of these cute owls from pottery barn kids...

all in a hard days work:)

nesting

so with number 4 on the way, i am starting to feel like nesting. i want everything cleaned out, and just so. but then i take it a little too far and start redecorating....eek. but it's fun right?! i thought i'd post some before and afters of what we have worked on over the past few years. i still have more i could do, and probably will do, but.... that's for later:)

so...i LOVE old houses, they just have such charm and character. and i think i like the challenge of making something great from something used! here is the front of our home when we moved in, and then after we re-landscaped and such.

and we added a couple of these red plastic adirondack chairs from home depot. they make it so fun!

so wish me luck.... hopefully i don't go overboard;)
i will need some of these for sure! if you are the chewy chocolate cookie, you'll love these!

and i got asked to teach how to make cute flower pins for super saturday, you know the kind you can wear, pin on a pillow or purse etc. so i will be making tutorials and posting those on here soon...yay!

keep calm and carry on, right?! that is my motto right now.
